What happens when three friends get together and brew their own beer? They start their own brewing company! Twenty 8 West Brewing is Alexandria’s first original microbrewery.
Ray Gill, owner of Jack’s, teamed up with friends Edan Moran and Mike Brunet to brew and serve their own beers at the Jack’s location on LA Hwy 28 West.
Moran and Brunet have been brewing beer together for about 10 years and racked up at amateur brewing competitions. The trio of friends has made this their first step in creating an operation that will distribute signature beers to bars, restaurants, and stores. Twenty 8 West Brewing is about giving people something new that they just can’t get anywhere.

SOUTH CIRCLE ALE
Pouring dark, yet drinking light, this medium bodied Black Ale will be sure to please. With a smooth toasted caramel base, low hop profile, and lacings of Madagascar Bourbon vanilla bean from start to finish, just one sip and you’re gonna wanna “circle round for more.”
COLISEUM ALE
Pouring orange to copper in color, this medium bodied Belgian Pale Ale boasts a smooth toast and bisquit note base. With a subdued hop profile and a delicate dance between light fruit and spice tones, you simply can’t lose. Add and orange slice and you’re gonna wanna “get a bigger glass.”
KINCAID ALE
Pouring golden straw in color, this light bodied American Pale Ale offers a clean bready malt base supporting a modest citrusy hop flavor from beginning to lingering end. Not too bitter – actually just right! Try one and you’re gonna wanna “steal a party barge.”
AEX ALE
Pouring amber to brown in color, this medium bodied American Amber Ale brings a happy balance between its sweet malt backbone and light hopping additions. With its smooth and easy drinkability, give this one a run and you’re gonna wanna “start sit-in' first class”
